The Position:

Full time Sr. Claims Rep – Material Damage.  Your focus will be on adjusting passenger vehicle and large equipment damage.


What We Need From You:

  • Ability to promptly and effectively handle to conclusion all assigned material/physical damage claims with moderate direction and oversight
  • 5 or more years related claims adjusting experience
  • Proven ability to meet customer needs and provide exceptional service

What We Would Like From You:

  • Material/physical damage or related repair industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Completion of or working toward AIC, CPCU or SCLA

Risk Control Specialist

Job Description:

Are you passionate about creating safer work environments?  If so, Berkley Agribusiness, a provider of property and casualty insurance solutions for select commercial agribusiness accounts, has an employment opportunity for a Risk Control Specialist to service our food products and food manufacturing customers in the Northeast Region. 

This position will be responsible for providing on-site risk control surveys at both prospective and existing policyholder locations for the purposes of gathering underwriting information and providing suggestions for risk improvement.

Specific duties include, but not limited to:

  • surveying commercial agribusiness properties, i.e. as buildings, industrial operations, etc. 
  • consulting with insured(s) in regards to activities and programs available to control losses and improve safety
  • providing training, mentoring, specialized technical advice and counsel to internal staff regarding regulations
  • contributing to the development of safety materials and programs 


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational/industrial safety, agricultural science, engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years loss control experience in food products and/or manufacturing
  • Professional designations, i.e. CPCU, CSP, CFPS or ARM

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present information to small and/or large groups
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Valid drivers' license and acceptable motor vehicle report required.
