Michael Ekiss
Michael Ekiss CPCU, AU
Named president of Berkley Agribusiness in October, 2015, Mike Ekiss is a Nebraska native and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.A. in Economics. Mike has nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience including leadership roles responsible for underwriting, product, business development, loss control and management of a national company's agribusiness division. Mike has earned CPCU and AU insurance designations.
Brad London
Brad London CPCU, AU
Senior Vice President - Underwriting & Risk Control
Brad London grew up in Nebraska and Iowa, graduating from Iowa State University with a BBA in marketing and has earned his CPCU and AU insurance designations. Brad has more than 20 years of insurance experience, 14 of them in commercial agribusiness insurance. His commercial insurance experience includes various underwriting capacities at one of the nation's largest writers of churches and schools and several underwriting and management roles with a national commercial agribusiness carrier.
Brad joined Berkley Agribusiness in 2009.
Brad Waline
Brad Waline CPCU, AU
Senior Vice President
Brad Waline is a central Iowa native and has worked in the insurance business for 18 years, 16 of them in commercial agribusiness and food insurance. Brad has underwritten in all areas of the United States and on a wide variety of agribusiness and food accounts including large regional cooperatives. Brad graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and has earned his CPCU and AU insurance designations.
Tyler Engel

Vice President - Business Development
Tyler joined Berkley Agribusiness in 2017 after spending more than 16 years at a national carrier in various Commercial Lines and Sales Leadership roles that took him and his family from Nebraska to Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio prior to relocating to Iowa. He is originally from Nebraska and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Business Administration and holds his CPCU designation.
William O'Brien
William O’Brien
Vice President - Claims
William O’Brien joined the Berkley Agribusiness team in March 2018. Bill has more than 20 years of commercial insurance experience serving in leadership roles with both a national and large regional carrier. His experience includes working at a big four professional service organization in their Risk Management and Claims Advisory practice where he had the opportunity to work with several U.S. and international carriers and self-insured’s, focusing on claims leading practices and operational effectiveness. Bill is originally from Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Alvernia College with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
David Heger
David Heger CPCU, AIS
AVP - Underwriting
David Heger joined Berkley Agribusiness in 2009 and has over 17 years of commercial insurance experience, including the last 15 years in commercial agribusiness/food/beverage. David grew up in Iowa and is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He has earned his CPCU and AIS insurance designations.
David is the AVP of Underwriting, accountable for the underwriting and processing department; as well as also being responsible for premium audit, agency billing, and serves as a liaison for Berkley Agribusiness to the various Berkley operating units.
Kevin Powers
Kevin Powers
AVP - Information Technology
Kevin joined the Berkley family in 2007 and became the AVP of IT for Berkley Agribusiness in 2011. Kevin has more than 17 years of experience developing a wide variety of national and international technology solutions and strategies for the commercial insurance market.
Kevin grew up in central Iowa and received his Technology and Accounting degree from AIB College of Business.
Scott Paulson

AVP - Business Development
Scott Paulson grew up in Iowa, graduating from Wartburg College with a BA in Business Management. He has also earned the CPCU designation. Scott has more than 20 years of insurance experience, with most of that in various commercial lines underwriting and leadership roles with a national carrier.
At Berkley Agribusiness, Scott is accountable for the East and Southeast.
